eiffel is 4.5 months old. he is completely housebroken so far!!!!!!!!!!!! very clean, wouldnt think of dirtying up his space. Maks is 2 months younger. we are working on crate training. i'm practically living outside in the nice weather to facilitate a smoother housebreaking with maks. any general comments on how long housebreaking will take (p.s. got eiffel at 12 weeks, he has never had any accidents, got maks at 9 weeks, he has had PLENTY!!!!

it must vary. check out other posts about housebreaking too. i think there have been ones where everyone listed about how long it took to housebreak their frenchie. i think each dog is different. in our case, oscar is nearly 7 months old and he is pretty consistently housebroken. he probably had 2 accidents in the last month. no signal really but, he doesn't go in the house. in general, from frenchies i know, it can take up to a year or more. or they can be pretty good around 4-6 months. just depends. just keep being patient and consistent. it will happen. ;)

oh Judy, I like that idea about the breeders keeping them til 15 weeks. That's what Im saying about Maks. We got him quite young, and he came from moscow. bit of a trauma. he had diarehha the entire first week, poor little guy. he's adjusted now, and im hoping Eiffel will "show him the ropes!" or the good poop and pee spots! outside of course!!!!! :)
