I think that I have finally found a food for Oscar...Natural Balance Duck and Potato. He seems to be doing fine, no hives, excessive itching etc.

On the flipside, I have heard from some that FBs should be given some form of supplement, if for nothing else...for their coats. I'm not a huge proponent of this, as good foods usually have enough oils (containing omega-3) for a healthy coat. Additionally, the veterinary prescribed supplement that we were feeding has both wheat and soy ingredients (on top of all the vitamins). I have finally gotten rid of these ingredients from his food, so I would prefer not to re-introduce them.

Does anyone feed additional supplements (akin to a daily multivitamin) to their FB. If so, why, and what do you feed.

Thanks

I am not a great proponent of supplimenting.Half the time I think the suppliments are what cause the problem.People I know add more suppliments than food.I try to keep it very simple.

Dari eats Bravo; I alternate between the blend(with veggies) and the one without. Everyday I add 1/4 tsp of Prozyme to her food.

Every other day she gets 1/4 tsp of salmon oil, for the Omega oil and the same amount of natural apple cider vinegar to acidify her urine.

After over a year and half on this regime ,her bloodwork was spectacular.
If it works don't fix it.
