I do not want to scare people with some of Athlon's troubles but I will post anyway as it is maybe not that rare?
Athlon has sometimes troubles with breathing well. It looks like his nose is closed and that he can't inhale well. It is scary to watch and the sound is pretty loud. It can last for 30 seconds. It usually happens when he wakes up too quickly. Fortunately it doesn't happen daily/weekly.
Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

Olly

Thanks for your reply :)
Yes, this is what I thought he had but wasn't sure. It happens to boxers too but I believe it is pretty rare with them. What is at the origin of this problem and is there a way to fix it so it will not happen?

I know that this also seems to be common with Bostons...guess maybe it has to do with the smushy faces...here is some info I found on the web might be helpful....

They all seem to say very similar things but worth a look!

I just LOVE that term!!

Bruce has only had reversed sneezing once, but he did have awfull problems with breathing when he went mad (playing) with other dogs. He sound like if you would let the air out of a balloon when streching the "nozzle" (can't think of the right word) :( and in two cases his tong would start to get blue. You can imagine the panic we were in! 11/11 he had an operation to: enlargen his nostrils, shorten his palate, remove his tonsiles and his "fake vocalcords" (sorry,....NO IDEA what the translation is). Hopefully his laboured breathing days are over!!
