Hi Sophia and Avra :) I did not know you were interested in a Frenchie as well. We have decided that we would love to be owned by a French Bulldog in our retirement. I would love one now but it would be too much with all our furkids - there would not be room in the car so I'll just be patient :D I joined here to learn as much as I can before we become Frenchie parents.

Hi Sophia. Welcome to the board. I am sure that you will enjoy hearing all the stories from those of us that are lucky enough to be owned by a Frenchie. They are special, little dogs, that make people smile.
Your photos of Avra are beautiful.

Thanks for your warm welcome :)
I was not familiar with these little cuties,i have seen them before ,only at the dog shows but the past week i met a male french bulldog at the park and he was so sweet...so cute...i loved him,he was white with a brown patch,he was like my Avra but at a little packet ;)
So i said to my self, the time that i'll be older and not able to handle a
big dog like a boxer,i will take an English or French bulldog,i like them both
Sharon maybe in my retirement too.
Nathalie, my daughter just came back home from Netherlands, during her stay there she sent me some very good training books which i couldn't find here and a very useful Gentle leader for Avra,i would like very much to go there, but i couldn't resist to leave Avra here, maybe another time... :(
Kalinuchta ;) (kalinuchta=good night ,kalispera=good evening, kalimera=good morning)

Welcome!
Your Boxer looks very nice! My grandparents had Boxers too, I really like them!
But now we have a Frenchie, Bullmastiff and a mix (Neapolitan Mastiif/Dogue de Bordeau)
I think the Boxer and the French Bulldog have lots of thing in common :)

I am so very pleased to meet you here on this site, Sophia. I have always loved Boxers and Avra is just beautiful! I find Boxers have the same wonderful personalies that Frenchies have. I would love to hear more about Avra.
I am from California and find it very special meeting doggie lovers from different countries!

@ Savra: Yes we are very lucky, when we would have more space and time I would like to have more dogs too! An Old English Mastiff, a Neapolitan Mastiff and an English Bulldog
I have one question for you: What's a GSD? I have been thinking but I dont come up with the answer...

A GSD is a German Shepard. :D I believe that the "D" stands for "dog" but I'm not positive. :p

That is such a cute pic! I love how they look like mirror images of each other because they are doing the same thing. :D

Hi Sophia, nice to see you here :)
You can say a French Bulldog is a kind of "packaged Boxer" if you want
As for English Bulldog, I too like them (they are less active than Frenchies though) but unfortunately their life expectancy is too short: it is often around 8 years.
Olly
PS: Andie, yes, the "D" stands for Dog!
