Hello everyone! My baby is a brindle and white 18 month old frenchie. His name is Kainoa. He is the first dog I have ever owned. I am absolutely in love with him. I did a lot of research before getting him, but I had no idea how special frenchies were :p We go everywhere together. He spends his day with me at work. I am really glad I found this forum online. Nobody I know owns a frenchie, so it is nice to find a place that has so many people that do.

Welcome to the board!! I have two beautiful Frenchies! Lenny is my handsome brindle boy and Sweetie is our white and fawn girl. We are pretty new to the Frenchie breed as our two are still young. Lenny is 24 weeks and Sweetie is 20 weeks.

Welcome! How lucky you are to be able to take your pup to work with you! Very nice. I think it is very special that your first dog is a Frenchie. :p I can only speak for myself when I say that I think most of us had NO idea how wonderful this breed is. It really takes owning one to understand. They ARE different but in the best way imagined.

I have two....Abby and Ferris. I only discovered Frenchies after owning Standard Poodles and Boston Terriers for many years. I still love Standards (have one 16 1/2 yr old) and Bostons....but Frenchies have won me over. appicon

Welcome to the board .. I have a beautiful little frenchie girl her name is Stella and she is 6 month old pied Frenchie … I love her to death … frenchies have the best personalities! appicon

Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome :p But I do have one question. Kai licks his feet A LOT. Not all the time, but we will be getting ready to go to sleep and he will be slurping away licking his feet! Or sitting on the couch making a big wet spot from licking away. Does anybody else's dog do this?

Hi and welcome! I'm Brooke and my Frenchie is Luna (1.5 yrs, brindle, female).

Luna licks her paws exactly like yours does. Sometimes it's an indications of allergies, sometimes not. I believe that Luna is allergic to grass and dust (as we've had her on all sorts of food and it didn't make a difference to her sneezes and licking), but that she also does it for cleanliness and as a ritual (like a cat would lick itself). Her paws are not reddened in the slightest, and she really only does it before sleeping and when waking up, so I don't worry about it.

Sometimes I think it's a doggie OCD thing.
