HI! I am a new member to this board. I don't have a Frenchie, but I am becoming obsessed with having one. I saw a picture of a Frenchie puppy several years ago and I have wanted one ever since. I would like to hold off until I retire (about 5 years), but I want to learn everything I can about the breed between now and then, and locate local breeders. I envy all of you who have one, they just seem so precious.

Hi! Welcome to Bulldogworld, I hope you will enjoy it :)
Do you have any other pets for the moment?

Yes, I have two labs, a female chocolate and a male black. They were my daughter's dogs, but when she moved away she could not take them, so "Nana" is caring for them.

Hi, welcome to the board! You've come to the right place for lots of good info on the breed.

I have a 6 month old brindle Frenchie girl named Adora and a 1 yr old APBT mix named Beckham.

Frenchies are a great breed. Lots of fun and in my opinion, the perfect mix of sweetness & mischief ;)

Hello and a GREAT BIG WELCOME from a fellow Carolinian! :) Drop me a PM if you ever get near Charlotte; Dudley just loves the attention and I'd be happy to share some Frenchie stories (good and not so). Good luck in finding your forever Frenchie, but be patient and PLEEEEAAAASE don't be tempted to buy from a BYB or a pet store. evilicon FBRN has some wonderful rescues needing good homes.

Thanks so much to all of you for the warm welcome. I visit my daughter near Raleigh fairly often and we always look for a dog show at the State Ag Center. I stalk all the people with Frenchies. I must say they are normally very friendly people. I do appreciate the advice on not buying a puppie from a BYB, I have done this before with Cockers and had too many health problems. I would never buy from a Pet Store because I feel that this is just encouraging Puppy Mills, and that is a horror that should be outlawed. I do come to Charlotte once in a great while (I worked there in the mid 60s) and I would love to visit any one with a precious frenchie.
