Hi there and welcome! We have all experienced funny stories when we take our FBD's out and about. Most people don't know what they are and ask silly quetions like "is this a pug, boston terrier, boxer puppy, small pit bull or pig?".
I have learned to laugh. Some people have heard of Frenchies but have never seen one. I tell them....yes...they are supposed to have big ears, yes they are born with this tail and yes...they look like small bulldogs.
Don'tcha just love em? :D appicon Carolyn

Hi! Welcome to the board :)
When I walk Athlon near the high school at my parents place, there is usually a riot with all the kids wanting to see the "little pig"
Do not hesitate to upload some photos of Bree to the gallery!

I am also a new Sacramento area member. Maybe we could arrrange a play date for our Frenchies some time. I haven't met anyone or seen any others around town and my husband and I get the same responses. Actually people have now recognized us because of Frankie! Let me know if you would be interested.

Welcome :) A few times children thought them a bunny ...
Roosje
I thought it was just us who thought that. When Tank really wants to run, he can't get his legs to alternate fast enough, and so resorts to leaping with them together. He's very fast when he does it, but with the big ears he does look like a bunny.
