PS: i just posted this in the other room...

------------

Hey all...

first off, i want to say thanks!! im really in debt to this great site, i've learned so much and really appreciate everyone's input...

ok, let me tell you guys/gals my situation...

My wife and I are Dog lovers that live in Los Angeles and have been
interested in french bulldogs for as long as i can remember... We have
been doing our homework in regards to owning a frenchy and...well,
were ready to do this !!

we've been patently looking for a frenchie for the past few months, and i'd love to buy a frenchie locally, from a loving, very reputable breeder in my area...im staying FAR away from import's and trying to do my best as far screening breeders go and being a responsible frenchie lover and soon owner, i hope ! ;)

anyway, i've lost track on how many web sites i've looked at...but i found this little cream female, which is exactly what we're looking for on www.........com/ (url. edited by moderator) she's the little cream female on the upper right of the page. does anyone know of this breeder ? i spoke to Tina the other day and she seemed very nice. i guess i just dont like the idea of shipping this poor little puppy on plan trip out here to LA, i mean, they must get so scared being all alone on plane...the puppy is being held for me right now and i have to make a decision very soon.

anyway, please give me some advice and what would you do in my situation. you found a puppy that looks very promising, via the internet but have never seen it or the breeders facilities ? would you buy the dog on blind faith...or wait for a local breeder in area to have pups ?

please help !!

thanks much,
Lino & Rosanna

Hi Lino, welcome to Bulldogworld :)

I did post an answer to your other thread. Sorry, but I couldn't be very complimentary about the breeder you found - it doesn't look good to me. I do hope though, that you'll stick out for a healthy pup from a responsible breeder, even though they can be hard to find. I wish you luck in your search :)

I must agree with Gwyneth; this site is NOT one I would buy from. There are no pedigrees listed; no health testing mentioned and these people do not show thier dogs.

Shipping a pup is not a terrible thing. In a perfect world it would not be necessary. But it is done and can be done safely..Like with Delta Dash..

You are buying a dog for a lifetime.Be patient..
There are dogshows coming up; go to them and meet the breeders.Talk to them.

There is a post that I did about what to look for in a website.PLease read it.It will help you when you come upon another "pretty picture".
