OK, Would like some experienced frenchie advice here..

I have been reading the articles, post and so forth on BARF Vs. Kibble..Now as I don't have to tell any of you, while you find one article which supports it, you will find another which don't..Now my question is basiccally this. Could a person like make the best of both worlds by using both? My only problem with BARF, is that I would be afraid they were not getting enough or all of the nutrients they need. While I agree kibble is filled with less than desirable ingredients, at least it does contain all the vitamins and nutrients required. I am not in an area where I could easily feed the prepared types of barf, so if I did, it would about have to be in a way that I would fix them a meal such as I would for my own family. While I fix balanced meals for my family and feel confident that they are getting a balanced meal, arn't the nutritional needs of canines different than those of humans? How could I be sure they were getting all they needed? Thanks for any comments on this..I just want what is best for my frenchie puppies to be happy and healthy

Tata,
Because of the way a dog's stomach works;feeding kibble and BARF is not advisable.BARF is digested much faster than kibble. and your dogs would get diarhea.

Balancing the diet is really easy. There are suppliments that are available mail order like Prozyme for instance.

Get Schultze's book "The Ultimate Diet"; it explains how to give your dog all it needs. And it is really not that difficult; once you get into it, it becomes easy.

I give Dari Prozyme ; Wild Salmon Oil and Apple Cider Vinegar. You can , if you want, add a multi vitamin.I choose not to. But I will tell you one thing; I just took her to the vet; her blood work was SPECTACULAR!!

If every meal is not perfectly balanced that is ok. Not every meal you eat is either. As long as over the course of a few days everything evens out , it is.

A word of caution; mixing raw and kibble will give you a sick dog..
