I bit the bullet and it's a fait acompli ... we are going to have a new member in the family next week - Tigger!! A reverse brindle male who's 15wks old. Ever since I got Gigi and Lola, I wanted another one. A boy, to be exact. So I've been searching and searching and finally decided on Tigger from a breeder here in SW Missouri. We've been talking all week and I just made the call this afternoon and found out how lucky I am - a woman from NY decided to buy him yesterday, but hasn't yet sent a deposit. Since I'll send a wire transfer Mon morning, and she knows that I have two already, and that I'll drive to pick him up - I get him!

I'm a little worried about a new pup with G & L, but I'm sure it will all work out okay in the end. I'm posting the photos of him in my gallery, so once they get approve, you'll be able to see him :D

I just looked at Tigger's picture;I am IN LOVE!!!

I just love the boys.To me they just personify the breed. That head and those ears..

Martina, it is hard to tell in the pictures of Dari, but the coloring of our dogs is very similiar.

A point of information;Frenchies continue to "brindle up" as they get older;usually the most concentration during the first year and a half. Then it continues, but slowly. So, for those of you with brindle dogs, they will get more brindle.
It amazes me that at 5,I still see some more (small) brindling on Dari every so often.
Here is a fact;Brindle dogs are actually creme or fawn dogs with dark stripes. Not dark dogs with creme/fawn stripes.

Excellent point Fran! I had no idea that the brindling came in slowly when I got Adora. She was very dark when she first arrived at 12 weeks old, but now at 23 weeks she has more and more brindling every day it seems.

The tiger brindles are absolutely gorgeous. They are so unique! There is one that goes to the dog park that is 9 months old and he is something else to look at :)

Also - I had no idea that the black was the "accent" color on the brindles! How strange. I'll have to subject Adora to a thorough fur exam to investigate!

On Adora I noticed that the brindle hairs seem to shed more than the black hairs. Am I imagining it??

Kool, I didn't know that..Frenchie has quite a bit of brindle now, but I like knowing it will get more pronounced as she ages. Thanks for the tip
