Hi everyone :)
I'd like to introduce myself to the site. Those of you who have visited or are members of Boxerworld may recognise me - I'm one of the moderating team there. Olly has been "kind" enough to ask me to help out with the moderation on Bulldogworld as well.
I don't own a French bulldog, but have met Olly's Athlon :) and have met quite a few around various show rings as well. I do own a boxer, however, and if you're interested you can see Henri on Boxerworld.
Anyway, it'll be nice to meet a new group of dog-lovers. I'll be around the site pretty frequently, and looking forward to learning a bit more about frenchies :)

Hi Fran and Tata - thanks for the warm welcomes :)
Welcome, So, when are you getting a Frenchie??
Mmmm - when the boxer runs out of steam, perhaps? LOL Henri's only two though, so it might be quite a long wait ;) Lots of time to think about it anyway. Have to admit though, there are many occassions I'd love to shrink him down to Frenchie size.

Gwyneth,
I'm telling you , Frenchies and Boxers are great together. Dari LOVES Curtis.
Most of the Boxer breeders I know say they get Frenchies to keep the Boxers in line
Do you know who Billie McFadden is?She just got Dari's nephew..for those of you who are not in boxers; she is a famous Boxer judge and breeder.
One day we were walking down the street and someone looked at Dari and Curtis. They asked if they were related  ; I said they were Litter Mates  The person believed me  People are so silly.

Welcome, Gwyneth! I love boxers and considered this breed before I decided a Frenchie was more the size I was looking for.
My two are Abby and Ferris ....3 1/2 yrs and 2 yrs respectively. Abby is extremely active, independent and lives to play. Ferris is more laid back and quite the lap dog. I love them both and they really do compliment one another. We also have a 16 1/2 yr old Standard Poodle named Ripley. He is wonderful and I love this noble breed as much as I love Frenchies.
Glad you have joined us. :D Carolyn

Hi Gwyneth,
I'm a fairly new member to both Bulldog and Boxer World (toshposh), but I can definately agree with Fran that the breeds get along GREAT together; at least my babies do anyway! Welcome aboard! :) I'll be sure to now post more pics of my two together playing, sleeping, eating, etc.
Mmmm - when the boxer runs out of steam, perhaps?
As you know, Boxers rarely run out of steam

Hi! I am the maid/waitress for a 5 month old brindle Frenchie gal named Adora and a 1 yr old APBT mix named Beckham. They are both a constant source of entertainment. Adora fancies herself a lap dog and Beckham is a wild man who enjoys spooning at night after playing all day.
We love Boxers! My bullies love their play style. We have 3 Boxers in our neighborhood that we visit with all the time :)
Glad you've joined on. I'm sure you'll have a Frenchie in no time!

Paula,
i struggled with making my pictures smaller as well. here are some recommendations that i used, and finally got pictures up of oscar. even though they aren't the greatest pics, at least they are there :)
on your digital camera, you should be able to set the size of picture you are taking. it may take a bit, but, go into your settings and roam around. you should be able to set it to the smallest size. then, take your pics of your frenchie on that setting.
do you have a mac or a pc?
my camera, even set to the smallest picture size, still wasn't taking them small enough and i couldn't change the size of the pictures in any program on my mac (at least not that i could find) so, my boyfriend installed photoshop for me, and i have been resizing to about 100 x 100 pixels in photoshop. hope this helps.

i also had sooooo much trouble trying to post pics ! roosje can attest to that ;) what finally worked for me, and i havent had problems since, is i had them stored in "my pictures" i sent them to myself via email , and my email automatically resizes them to fit. then i went to email ,opened them and saved them to my pictures. i stored the originals to a folder and used the resized ones for sending. hope i helped some :)

Hi Gwenyth!
I thought about a boxer too, Carolyn, but decided that frenchies were the size I really wanted. Of course, I was fooled into thinking that they would be low energy dogs - HAHAHAHA!! Well, that's not totally true ... as they hit 1 yr old, I do notice that they are ever so much less active.
Can you believe that? Gigi and Lola are just turning/ed a year. Gigi's b-day was last week and Lola's in next week - Wow!
