Do we have some statistics about the colours of Frenchies? I visited many Frenchie related web sites since the beginning of this month and it looks like the most common colour is the dark brindle followed by the white and the fawn. I believe it is also the case here (about brindles anyway). Thank you!

Yes, it seems that most of the dogs on this forum are brindle. I am curious if any of you find a difference in the attitude of creams, fawns or pieds vs brindles? Katie is cream & has a totally different way about her than Madison (brindle) does. Do others find this true?

I don't know about temperament differences with the different colors. It does seem that the darker brindle/black Frenchies have healthier skin and fewer allergies..but I may be wrong. I find that the major differences in Frenchies seem to be in the male versus female which seems to be true with many breeds. I LOVE my high spirited Abby and yes, she can be a handfull at times, especially in public. Ferris, on the other hand, is soooo laid back. We can take him anywhere and he is so well behaved, quiet and really oblivious to other dogs. I love them both and they really compliment each other.

I don't have any comparison as I (unfortunately) only have Bruce, my brindle male.

But untill a few months ago I didn't even know there were more colours than Brindle, Fawn and the black and white one's (is that pied?) The dutch FB forum is where i learned that there were cream, red etc etc bulldogs in the US! Learning every day!

In response to what Carolyn had to say about the male vs female thing, I think you might have a point there. Katie is much more wound up & runs around like a crazy thing. Madison likes to play with us & has his wild moments, but overall he is the one that is easy to take places & he is much better behaved than Katie is.
