Hi there,
My boyfriend and I have a male french bulldog that just turned 4 months old this week. For the most part he is a very good dog but we are having a few minor issues with him...
- Going outside: He seems very scared to walk out of our apartment building. Once he gets out he is fine but it is constantly a struggle to get him out the door and moving. This wasn't always a problem. It just started happening this week. What could be the cause of this?
- Going to the bathroom outside: His puppy class teacher says we should bring him out every 2 hours when we are home to get him in the habit of going to the bathroom outside. Only problem is that most of the time he doesn't actually go to the bathroom outside. Sometimes he pees but never ever poops. He always waits until he gets back in the house to poop.
- Crying at night: There is nothing consistent about his sleeping habits. Some nights he sleeps through the whole night. Some nights he whines from 3/4 am until we wake up at 6. He goes to bed the same time every night so I am not sure why some nights he sleeps and some nights he doesn't. I have heard this may be because he has to go out but since he doesn't really go to the bathroom outside, I don't think that is it.
