Dragging Paws and Bleeding Quicks

Hello,

My 3 year old Frenchis, Rocco drags his two front paws slightly when he walks/runs. The middle nails on both paws have worn down enough to wear the quick is bleeding like it would if you cut the nails too short.

I was thinking of buying Soft Paws or get booties. Does anyone have advise on this and/or the same issue? If so, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't had the problem, but would think that soft paws or something similar would probably be the better solution over booties (as long as there is sufficient toenail for them to attach to!). It would seem likely that there's less risk of him just pulling them off, as I'd suspect might be the case with booties.
