We just picked up our little guy, Otis on Saturday. He was nine weeks on Tuesday. We are doing puppy pads in the house right now because the breeder said he was too small and it was too cold to house train immediately. He seems to do ok with the pads right now with encouragement and treats and has only had a few accidents... so far. We want to start housetrain next month but I am concerned about the steps in the front and back of the house. He is so little and won't be able to do them until he is much larger. We want to get him house trained as quickly as possible but don't think we will be able to with the whole stair situation and I don't want to wait months until he is big enough to do the stairs. I also don't want to get in the habit of carrying him outside to go to the bathroom. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!
