We have a 9mnth old Frenchie named Diego. He is a very good boy and the center of our world. We love him so much and hate to see him uncomfortable, but it seems he has a few persistent issues that have raised some concerns.
First off was the skin issues. On a regular basis he has a rash on his tummy that includes pimples sometimes. He gets the same thing on his feet in between his toes. It gets very red around his toe nails and the bumps are there too and on the webbing. He licks them all the time and sometimes chews on them too. We got some shampoo from the vet and use it but it hasn't done much good.
Just recently his eyes have become an issue. We knew before getting a French Bulldog that they would have runny eyes and we would need to keep his folds dry. That hadn't been a problem until recently. His folds have become very irritated and very red. We use the shampoo in the folds like the vet suggested, but again it hasn't helped much. And now as of a few days ago his eyes have started to produce a greenish discharge that are only making the folds worse.
We had allergy tests done a few months ago, and they came back negative. We thought it might be a food allergy, but we feed him Wellness Simple Solutions Lamb and Rice. We also give him fish oil with his food daily. As an occasional treat, we will give him raw marrow bones. We don't know if any of those could be making it worse. I know this is a lot of questions/information, but we are at a loss. His temperment and energy level are fine, but we know he is very uncomfortable. Any help with his issues would be great. Thanks!
