My 10 year old has Coccidia!

Just came back from vet and fecal test showed coccidia. Vet said it was rare in adults. His is on Albon and Flagyl. Anyone else have this happen in their adult dogs? Want some feedback on prognosis. Any input greatly appreciated.

Indeed, it's not common in adults - as generally their immune systems are such that the dog is not vulnerable. Does he have any other health troubles, or stresses?

He is not stressed at all. He has been on immune boosters most of his life due to allergies. Thanks for sharing the article. Fingers crossed this gets under control very soon. His appetite has picked up a bit and I am making sure he is drinking plenty of water.:)
