I got a call back on a pup I put in an application for and now I am eagerly awaiting a home visit from the French Bulldog network!!!! I am so excited, I can hardly stand it. The hubby and I are taking my 2 dogs (a french bulldog and an english bulldog) to meet him this weekend and make sure they all get along. All 3 dogs love all things great and small so I would be surprised if they didn't romp and play on their first meeting!!!!
Here's to hoping this week will pass at the speed of light and a FDRN volunteer will be able to make it over to our house for the home inspection soon soon soon!!!!!
Any other FBRN owners out there?

she was a breeder placement. I had applied for several over at FBRN, it just didn't work out. Which one are your being considered for?

Jaques Bo is the guy I am being considered for, I have talked to his foster mom and she has sent pics and videos, he is real happy fun little guy. Well, he is actually a pretty big boy, but darn adorable just the same!

if they are saying he's really allergic, they mean it! You will have to be diligent on keeping him on a strict diet of what's working for him now. No treats that have any other stuff in them. The foster mom will give you all the info. Lovey has environmental allergies and it's been a battle, but I think we've finally got her mostly on the right track. She is such a joy to have around and she makes me laugh a dozen times a day.
Good luck!!!

Thanks for the advice, I will be very diligent. Since they posted his info he has gone to the dermatologist and they have had him tested and isolated what his environmental allergies are and he has shots now to help him with them and he is pretty happy and comfy. I have lots of experience giving dogs shots so the shots will be easy breezy for me. They have changed his food a few times since that posting as well to see if one is better than the other for him and their hasn't been a difference. Whichever food they deem best is what I will keep the pup on and if he needs a treat it can be a few pieces of his own special food.

I got approved and Chachi (previously known as Jaques Bo) is home!!!! I drove out to get him over the holiday weekend and he is the cooooooolest!!!!! My pups love him, h loves them, he fits in like he was raised in our house! I just adore him, I gave him his allergy shot yesterday and he is such a trooper, he is so layed back about it. He isn;t near as itchy as I would have though, but he certainly has his itch time. we take him to his follow up dermatology appt Tuesday. We have found a few sprays that hep relieve his itchies some, hopefully the dermatologist will have some further advice.

a shampoo I got from the vet, it has benzoyl peroxide in it. Since she has environmental allergies, if she scratches, then the staph gets in, then we have bumps/pimples that make little sores, so this works really well on her every couple of weeks. I also wipe her feet and stomach with an unscented wipe when she comes in from outside, trying to get any pollen off. Seems to have really helped her. Another thing we're doing for her and it seems to be working really well, is giving her 10 mg of amitryptoline (sp) twice a day. It's for anxiety about thunderstorms and such, but one of the effects is that it acts kinda like a antihistimine. It's been amazing, she's had no breakouts. Little blue pill twice a day!
Good luck with Chachi!!! Post some pics!

It took my long enough to post here, but Chachi is home. He came home about 3 weeks ago and he is awsome!!!!! He and the other pups get along great, they play a lot and he is just the apple of my eye. He is such a sweetie, we have been to see the dermatologist already for a check up and he is happy with his progress. He gets weekly medicated baths and we have various wipes to use on his tail pocket and other areas as needed to keep him from getting any little infections. We do a daily check and clean his wrinkles and problem areas every day and he has gotten less itchy, he is mostly a little itchy first thing in the morning and then pretty darn good the rest of the day.
He is such a love bug and is soooooo mommy's little man!
