So I was furminating him today and it seemed to bother him. First I thought he was just being a little grumpy but later I looked at him from behind (since his fur grows towards the back) I noticed little red dots around both side of his ribs. It doesn't seem to itch him or anything. I been furminating him every other day for the pass 2 weeks and he seemed to be fine and does not show sign of dislike like today. I don't know what could be the cause. These dots must of develop recently either yesterday or today. The only changes he has had in the pass 2 weeks are:
-I applied Advantix on him 2 weeks ago.
-Applying the furminator comb on him every other day since two weeks ago.
-I started to add a spoon of pedigree canned food into his dry Eukanuba small breed puppy bites 2/3 weeks ago.
-Started mixing Royal Canin medium puppy into his food since I'm planning to change his dry food to that, started this about a week ago.

I feed him twice a day; in the morning I give him half of cup of kibbles 60% Eukanuba, 30% Royal canin, 10% of chopped carrot and a spoon of canned pedigree. At night I give him about 1.5 cup of the same mix with out the carrot. He's been doing fine with this food for the pass 2 weeks. If he had food allergies he should of reacted to this way earlier when I first changed his diet right?
I also noticed he puked 3 times yesterday after I mopped the floor with Pine Sol, it was one spot right after the other of yellow liquid and no food. Could it be what I used on moping the floor? Or maybe he licked a still wet spot of the floor? Also the spring allergy has been hitting me hard since yesterday so could this affect to dog too?

I have attached photos of his skin taken from behind if you guys have had any similar situation. Any information is well appreciated and I want to hold on going to the vet until it seem to be a serious problem that bothers him.

Maybe it's pulling his hair and causing the irritation? Maybe that's excessive? My daughter has one, but I don't know how often it says to use it. I wouldn't think (but I'm no expert) that he would be having food allergies since you've been introducing gradually and until now there's no problem. Could he have gotten into ants outside? Hope you figure it out, keep us posted.

Might be the furminator then. Also could be stuff outside cause he likes to pick up stuff of the ground to chew on from rocks, leaf, to paper.

If he's allergic to grass or weed pollen it could be hives
from that. I would lay off the furminator, too. these guys don't
shed that much, not like a golden retreiver or something. I
also could be food, sometimes it takes a while to build up to
an outbreak. I would try benedryl creme on the spots if he's
itchy, and maybe an oatmeal bath if he's really itchy. I put
oats in a sock and make a tea bag that I wash the dog with
in the sink. Many commercial foods have too many ingredients
to tell what might be affecting him. Look for corn or other
grains on the label as these are common allergens.
Hope this helps.

The red dots has seem to go away 90%. I think it was the furminator and me using it unproperly by applying it everyday with a good amount of high pressure into his skin. I went to their website and quoted this "DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH WEIGHT OR DOWNWARD PRESSURE as you comb through the pet's coat. Deep or rough brushing can cause the pet's skin to become red and irritated, and pet's with sensitive skin may suffer brush burns even with light combing. If you notice any redness or irritation on your pet's skin, immediately stop using the tool"
