Our Jade has a rough time last week it first stared off with bile in the morning even with their midnight munchies they can still bring up bile once in a while & it's no big deal. I didn't think much of of it except she seemed a little down, gave her dinner which she sucked up as usual then ten mins later it flew back, the same thing happened when she went for a drink followed by lot's of white froth she became very restless, one minute she would sit then lie then walk about. That's when I thought of a possible blockage, didn't think it was possible not Jade she's never swallowed or ruined anything in her life, she's seven so she's not exactly a puppy.
Phoned vet's but couldn't get through in the mean time she wanted out so I let her into the garden, tried the vet's again still engaged I could see her running about in a panic outside ran out to her she was covered in diarrhoea & there lying in a pool of poo was this object. Went to get the poo sieve to hose the thing down & there lying was a large piece of pale pink rubber, don't know how she managed to past it :eek: Have no idea where it was from or what it was off or why she ate it in the first place :confused:
Thankfully she didn't need to go to the vet's, well that's what I thought, got up the following morning to find her blinking a lot & her eye was blue, knew straight away it was a ulcer which the vet confirmed. She's been wearing a comfy collar to stop her scratching her face/ear when I can't watch her, she has a polyp which was was removed fifteen mths ago but slowly grew back. So when she had the blockage I removed it & she's caught her eye.
Before all this happened she was booked in to be spayed/polyp removed this week anyway, so I still have to take her in as planed, the vet will decide then if he will go a head or leave the surgery till the ulcer is healed. I know one thing if madam has to miss her supper on Wednesday night there will be hell to pay, that girl loves her grub :lol:
