My frenchie females 10 weeks old and one of her ears is starting to flop over. I got her at 7 weeks and both ears were strong and standing but the last few days i noticed her left ear is folding forward.
Should i tape it up to help it stand or just leave it alone?
Thanks

My 6 year old male went through this as well. Don't worry it will go back up. The breeder mentioned that sometimes this happens when the begin teething(?). Not sure it that is true but in about 3 weeks those big bat ears were back.

Hi- Louie also had a floppy ear at about that time. He was still with the breeder-as we did not get him till 12 weeks--but we were able to visit him from 6-12 weeks old --and he looked just adoraable with that floppy ear!! My breeder said the same thing about the teething!! Good luck with your pup! :)

Hi there - the ears do this whilst they are changing their teeth. There's nothing wrong it's just a fact of life, so no taping or any lotions or potions are needed, just time.

Their ears develop minds of their own at this stage, one minute their up then down, one ear up other down. Some flap so much as if their about to take off! others just curl at the tips. Others can drop or flap when tired, relaxed or stressed, very large ones can take longer to come up too, others stay up for a few weeks then suddenly drop. If the ear sustains an injury like a Haematoma, dog bite or a serious infection it may never go up properly. Normally if the ears aren't up by the time they are six months old they won't come up, of course there will always be the odd one that will.

Our Samara was 5 1/2 mths before hers finally came up which is very late for my line.
