my 4 mos old get's them all the time!! Unfortunatly, she had Kennel Cough:(, yet has since gotten over it with only a subtle cough here and there now. Im not sure if the two are related/unrelated, but does anyone else's Frenchie get hiccups alot?

Many, if not most, puppies get hiccups. Just like people (bet you got them more often as a kid than you do now ;)). And they usually grow out of them too.

Hiccups are a collision of the heart and diaphragm - which is why getting a fright that makes you draw in a big breath sharply sometimes works for getting rid of them. It changes your breathing pattern, so the collision is avoided. Not sure how true it is, but I've heard it explained that infants get hiccups more often due to being still growing. That is, not all bits of the body, presumably including internal organs, grow at the same rate. Thus, they're a bit more susceptible to minor synchronisation issues causing things like hiccups...

Well, whether or not that explanation is exactly accurate - what is true is that infants of all species seem to get hiccups much more often than adults do. Its just something we all seem to gradually grow out of.
