Hi Everyone,
Digby will be 1 year in just a few weeks. While housetraining took a while, I would say that he now trained. He knows that we go outside 4 times a day, and has a particular spot on the curb that he immediately walks towards each time. Our only concern is when we are playing with him for a long time inside our apartment, he tends to get excited, pee, and then put himself in his bed. He almost seems ashamed of himself when it happens.
We were away this weekend and had him stay at an in-apartment doggy boarding facility. The place is in someone's apartment, quite homey with lots of doggy beds, toys, and typically 6 total dogs. The owner mentioned to me that since they do a lot of indoor, and outdoor play, that they noticed that Digby seems to do a lot of excitement peeing in the house. They remedied it with a belly band for his in-door time.
Does anyone have suggestions on how I can help Digby train his bladder more so that he can enjoy more inhouse play time without excitedly peeing?
Thank you so much for your stories and suggestions!
Heather
