bad breath?

hi! i'm new to this board and glad to know u guys are here!! i'm a first time pet owner and of course got a frenchie!! :lol: she is now 7 mos old. i've discovered a lot about her as she's grown. she had hiccups when she was younger that would last for two to five minutes. she finally out grew it tho...she also had some really stinky farts! :eek: i changed food and all but that didn't help too much..now it's just not as bad or i've gotten used to it. now her current issues are excessive shedding and really bad breath! i can't even wear black around her unless i avoid hugging her =( and her breath is so bad sometimes i can't even kiss her. i tried some chews for better breath but don't think it's working. are these common issues with frenchies?please post any suggestions of comments..any is welcome! thank you!

Hi there, my 16 wk old Frenchie has some serious breath and gas issues too so I can definately relate.

I have accepted the gas as endemic to the bulldog and just try to hold my breath when necessary! :rolleyes:

I think at 7 months old your Frenchie might be just getting her final molars - teething makes for pretty gross breath. Adora's breath is not so fresh either, but I give her Merrick breath biscuits which you can buy online - they don't contain any wheat so that helps with the gas appicon and Breathalicious treats, they're kind of like Greenies, but my dogs prefer them and they are less expensive.
