Just wanted to share with you something that happened 2 nights ago.
I chopped up a raw chicken wing (the way i always do, into 3) and manja was happily eating at his bowl while i was washing the dishes. Suddenly he keeled over onto his side and started waving his legs in the air! At first I thought maybe he had slipped water from his bowl but he couldnt get up and i had to help him to his feet. Then he started walking funny around the kitchen and his eyes were kinda bulging out ! Of course by this point i realised he was choking on part of the chicken and i totally freaked out...
I panicked for a few seconds and then i decided i would try the heinlich manouvre (not sure about that spelling) so i stood behind him, grabbed him from underneath where his ribs end and gave him a sudden pull upwards. Straight away he made a sort of vomiting motion with his head and half a wing came sraight out!!! I was so relieved but before i could get the wing he had gobbled it back up again (hes a living vacuum). This time though i think at least he chewed it a couple of times. You live and learn huh!
