I remember reading a post about someone doing a blood allergy test as opposed to doing the skin test. From what I have read the skin test just gives to many false positives. Out little guy is mostly ok. He does scratch and lick. It's not obsessive and he hasn't drawn blood, but it just seems like there is something bothering him. We done the food rotation, but as some of these allergies take weeks to show up it can be impossible to determine the mind allergens.
Does anyone remember the post, or if the writer of the post reads this, please reply, as i'd like to get you thoughts.
Thanks,
Stefano

The elimination diets just gets on my nerves.
I am writing everything down, everyday food they take ,walks, where they stepped in their walk, and many many more things and i still cant get whats going on. If i had one dog it may be easier. I found out that the allergic reaction in my older dog usually comes out the first day or immediately after the allergen. For my younger dog it takes more days.
And on the other hand you have the enviromental issues:eek:   .
I AM SO BORED.
Anyhow thats my observations up to now. I only have 5 things on my Hitlist . Hope you do better than me

Bean has had the blood test. It provided a pretty comprehensive list of all of her allergies and what she is most allergic to. She is allergic to dust mites and mold; we live in a place where it rains 13 feet a year. Because her allergies are environmental, we spend a lot of time bathing and cleaning the house and that seems to help.
We also tried the shots with the blood test. They formulate a prescription for your dog based on her allergies. Bean was too sensitive though and we couldn't continue with them. According to everyone involved, this is very rare and it works with most dogs. The whole procedure is quite spendy though; I think it was around 500 and this was four years ago.
