Hi,
I am new here. I just adopted a French Bulldog. Her name is Vada. She is 4 months old. I have learned that her previous owners purchased her from a kennel in Russia. The kennels name is Iz Palevyh has any one heard of it? I have read a few post in reguards to the problemst of these dogs from Russia. I am worried now that may sweet little puppy may have health and social problems. She has been to the Vet and checks out fine so far. She seems to get along with my other dogs. What should I whatch for? Do all the dog that come from Russia have problems. Please help.

Hi Vada, welcome! :)
I wouldn't worry too much about her temperament if she is doing well with other dogs. Dogs might have some trouble to socialize if they were separated too early from their mothers. You can see at http://www.boxerworld.com/puppy/socialisation some timeline of a puppy socialisation. The article was written by Sharon who is a member here but she has been offline for awhile now. She has boxers that are champions in agility :)
As for potential health trouble, nothing else to say beside that I agree fully with Rosje.
Enjoy your puppy and don't forget to share some photos with us!

Welcome to this site! It sounds like your dog is fine. Like many have said before...there are many great Russian pups. We all love our dogs here and that is what is important. Carolyn

Hi
My dog Eti is also from Iz Palevyh. He is 9 months old and is very healthy with a good temperament. I've met another owner here in NYC whose dog is simiarly problem free. Here are more pics of Eti:

Chris...Eti is lovely! :D I love those BMF's. I'm glad to hear he is a healthy, happy little guy. Is he your first Frenchie? This breed is such a delight...but I don't need to tell you that! Carolyn

hi gena . you have a very beautiful little girl there! very pretty markings and coloring. the other frenchie in your pic looks like my rocky. one thing i,ve learned from them is they can be sooooooo cuddly or soooooo playful. when i was researching rockys pedigree , i found some of his family is from iz palevyh. i myself prefered to get a pup from the states, but thats just me. i met a lady the other day that has two frenchies. one she purchased from germany and his paperwork is all in german. i told her to contact the akc , if she wanted to straighten it out, but if he is strictly a pet. it really isnt important. you got your pup , healthy, and that is the most important thing. hope you can post more pics she is a little darling !
