Me, Arlo and his daddy were walking on the boardwalk at New Smyrna Beach when an elderly woman approached scared to DEATH saying she was afraid of dogs. As she got a closer look of Arlo she actually didn't seem scared at all and asked if he was a pig!!! Granted she was probably short of sight and well into her 80's but still! A PIG?! He really is an angel with everyone he meets but a pig?! Ok 'mommy bias' aside..my baby is a beautiful pup and I never would mistake him for a pig. If anything he's all bunny :)

If it makes you feel any better, my pup is known as the "mutant bunny pig."

My husband had Dutchie out when he was a pup and a little girl came up to him and asked "What's that?" and he said "A Frenchie". She said "Is that like a dog?"

Last Friday, my 2 year old nephew met Tank, our 18 month Frenchie. Most he got very being afraid of Tank, he started to call him "Piggie". Tank does care what you call him as long as you feed him.

There has been several walks in the park. That Rella has been labeled "Pig".
The funniest time was a little boy about 2 years old went running to his parents screaming look Mama a Pig. I don't think Rell's grunting helped to convince this lil boy that she was Indeed a Dog!

Same thing happened to Beanie with a little girl. I didn't have the heart to tell the little girl the truth. However, this was in Iowa, so I would think the little girl would know the difference :) In Alaska, she is usually referred to as a pug; I guess pig is even more unusual than a Frenchie.

Too funny! We've been told Lola looks like a pug, a pig, a bat, and, when she stands on her hind legs to look out the window, a cat. Oh, and a rabbit when she hops up the stairs or sprints around the dog park.

We call Georgie "piggy face" all the time here. When he's trying his hardest to get in the trash and snorting the whole time he sounds like a tiny hog.
