Thomas

without you
Every minute last's an hour
Every hour a day
And every day
stretches into eternity
I miss you so much

Helen.....they never really leave us, do they? I remember your sweet Thomas....he's forever embedded in your heart. I was hoping that you might have gotten another by now. Nothing heals like a new puppy.

I agree, please do consider another dog, they will help to lessen the sorrow.

I agree too Helen, we lost our last dear boy two years ago :( (a big red staffie, with the best personality) and though it took us a while, when we got little Louis, back in the summer this year, it was the best thing we could have done. He has brought us some much joy  and we don't know how we coped so long without him.

Helen,

I lost my beloved Frenchie, Walter, December 7, 2005. He choked to death in front of me on a Greenie.

Anyway, I got a new puppy, Winston several months after Walter died. It was very hard. I found myself comparing him to Walter, who was my first dog ever and my first Frenchie! After going through all the stages of grief and mourning following Walter's tragic death, it still hurts, but not as much. Their will always be a place in my heart where he lives. I know he is at the Rainbow Bridge and that we will meet again.

In the meantime, Winston has helped to heal my sore heart. He is his own little dude and he brightens my days. All I can say is be kind to yourself. You will know when you are ready for a new Frenchie.
