Hi everyone
I'm Mr Frenchie from the UK. My mummy has decided to join your forum for support and information. I have a spasm between my neck and shoulder so mummy is taking me to the vets today. Has anyone experienced this at all? We think I could have a trapped or pinched nerve, we're a bit worried, especially mummy.
Hope you all have a good day

Welcome to the forum! Sorry I haven't heard of that condition but maybe someone here will have. Good luck!

Hi both, thanx for the welcome.
I am from Gloucestershire - South West of the UK.
Last night he took a turn for the worse and we took him to the vets. They wanted to keep him overnight, he's never been away from us. When the vet examined him he screeched, the pulse in his neck is his main artery. He will have blood tests and an xray this morning.
We are missing him so much, he's our world - the house is so empty.
We're scared too.

Hi there and welcome to the site. I'm so sorry to hear your little guy is having problems :( I have heard of pups that will strain the neck while pulling on the lead....mostly when a collar is used rather than a harness.
I hope that this is all that it is....as he should be ok with some rest.
Well wishes from me and my two....

Hi all
Thank you for all your kind words and heartfelt best wishes. I phoned the vets up first thing in the morning and they said he has totally recovered. It was a muscle strain and his panicky reaction to being in pain that really concerned them enough to keep him overnight. The x-ray was clear so I'm glad of that. God we are so glad to have him back, we were so worried. He slept with us for the first few nights back home!

Welcome to the site! So glad to hear your little guy is doing better! I first found this site when Quinn was having some medical issues of his own. The support and info was invaluable. Best of luck:D
