Hi,

A little 3 1/2 month old Frenchie named Lucy has just entered into my life, and i love her!

I have always had bulldogs in my life, our family dog was always a boxer, my parents have had 3 over the years. And recently I got a Boston Terrier who we loved dearly and was the most amazing dog, but unfortunately she is not with us. Around 7 weeks ago, we were going away and was unable to bring her, this is the first time we had ever left her over night. We left her at my inlaws place who live around 1 1/2 from us in the country ( we live in the city), we dropped her off and 2 hours later someone knocked at their door and she bolted thru their legs and we haven't seen her since:( . I have done absolutley everything to find her, posted hundreds of posters, posted on many sites, pounds, spcas, vets, BT Rescue, newpapers, radio, tv.. even tried to get a hound dog to find her and the pound even set a live trap...no avail...

I was so down about her missing my husband got me little Lucy. She is a wonderful little pooch.

So i am here on this forum to give me tips on training and also to try to find out some history on her

I am so sorry to hear you lost your boston :( but so happy to hear you have lost your heart to a frenchie:)

Did you know there is a regular play-date for Frenchies in our area? It's a great thing to see a bunch of Frenchies play. We (my husband and I) turned the last one into a birthday party for Belzie, our 12 month old Black Brindle. There were around 25 other frenchies there, it was so much fun. We also have a 4 month old fawn boy named Sam that is doing a really good job of driving us crazy.

Oh a few of us are participating in the BCSPCA Paws For A Cause Walk at Vanier Park on September 10th. It would be a good opportunity to socialize Lucy, and meet some other Frenchies and owners if you have nothing planned.:D

I am not able at the moment to join any meet ups in our area...but I do have two Frenchies....and have the pleasure at least of watching my two play. :D

We meet at different off leash areas in the lower-mainland from New West to West Vancouver - the last one was in the off leash area Stanley Park. I will post on this forum and let you know when and where the next one is. I can't post a link to our meet up site - this forum doesn't allow it.:)
