I do not believe I feed Athlon too much but he vomits (not badly, it usually stays in his mouth) often, especially when he plays too quickly after eating or when he starts to run quickly like crazy everywhere.
He gets his food twice a day: at around 8:30 in the morning and at around 6 in the afternoon. Per day he gets in all 400 grams/0.88 pound of food (200 grams of beef and 200 grams of boiled rice mixed with carrots). Does this sound too much for you? He weighs 13 kg/28.66 pounds.
Thank you.

Because of medical problems & allergies we had been trying to find the right food for Madison for a long time. Now it seems he is finally on a good diet. I too feed by eye. Madison is very small, so when he starts getting a little pudgy or has gotten too many treats, I cut back on his food. He eats about 1/3 of a can of Wellness brand food at each meal. I give him either whitefish or duck flavors. I mix this will a few tablespoons of pumpkin. He is fed twice daily. Food is his favorite thing & he knows instinctively when it is time to eat.

We also feet "on the eye". Murphy is still growing so he gets more then ViVi. In the morning we give them dry foot and a Rodi Hamburger. In the evening also dry food and half a can of Ceasar ( http://winkelenbij.dedierenvriend.nl/ass/xl/0531.jpg ) We try to let them stay quit after eating, but thats very hard. It seems that they like playing with a full stomach best.

It is exactly the same thing with Athlon. He is almost only active during food time. For his dinner, about one hour before he is already excited by it and plays a lot (without forgetting to check the kitchen every 5 minutes), then he eats his 200 grams within 3 minutes (and he eats everything, even a single rice next to his bowl, like if he wasn't feed for days), and finally it is playtime for 3 hours: he makes noise with his toy, runs like crazy etc...
I too try to keep him calm because he can vomit his food easily with all his exercises.

Athlon sounds like he lives for food first & play second, just like Madison. I have never seen a dog who cared about food more. It is kind of ironic since some of Madison's problems have made it so that eating was a problem for him. I am always so happy to see him able to eat well & wanting it so much. I am glad that with all the problems he has had in his life that someting can make him this happy. He loves play too, but this is always second to food.

Tirsa is a difficult eater. She now gets hypoallergic food only available from the vet for her allergy, meat is actually out of the question, but soemtimes she gets a rodi hamburger. otherwise she is very spoiled as she refuses to eat her dry food from her bowl. Only eats it when I feed her. If I don't feed her, she doesn't eat, or she might get some pieces from her activity ball (which has the same food in it) but no, she will not eat dry food from her bowl.

How do you know if your dog has the allergys to food? What kind of symptoms will present?

Ali has allergies so he gets what was recommended by the rescue and is thriving..2tb of oatmeal, 1/4 cup ground beef and a slice of cheese 2 times a day. He is small (19&1/2) and he LOVES his food, down to the last speck and looks for more for a few minutes till he calms down and then plays for a bit before nap time. He does have treats he will get 1 or 2 when we are giving our other dog something. I think he is learning some simple commands with this...as he doesn't even respond to any yet.
