A very kind person pointed out this board of wonderful information, so we joined right up! I'm Jayne in Ohio and co-owner of a lovely, very handsome boy named Gator from Louisiana. We have been around brachycephalics for quite a while and fell in love with a frenchie we met at a show and started looking around for our companion. We have only been frenchie owners for about 6 months. We've been working with Gator and have started showing him, but he needs to put on a few more pounds and figure out the whole stack thing. Well, truth is WE have a lot more to learn about it than he does - lol! As limited as our experience has been, we have met some WONDERFUL people and animals in the breed and are looking forward to this world of frenchies.

We're just outside of Springfield (between Dayton & Cols). I've only seen two other frenchies in town (despite the carload of dogs I chased down and followed to the dog park only to find out they were boston terriers - lol). One frenchie I saw at the vet's office and the other I saw at the pound. They were going to classify it as a mutt until I stepped in, gave them a quick lesson on frenchies and guaranteed them that someone would be by for that stray and I would take him if they didn't. Turns out he has alzheimer's and he just managed to get away from his owners (and they did come for him straight away!).
Where are you, Amy?

Wow! You're not too far from me! We live in between 2 small towns: Greenfield and Chillicothe, maybe 45 min from you. We have a 10 month old male and a 2 year old female we placed with a cousin and there were 2 women here at work (one's daughter) who had Frenchies until one lost hers recently (I posted about it). This town is tiny so I couldn't believe I met 2 from work! You're boy looks beautiful!

My friend's family is from Logan, so maybe that's closer to where you are. He goes there a few times a year - maybe I'll tag along sometime and we'll meet up!!! He just went this weekend, so it won't be for a couple of months.

Actually we're a little closer to Sprinfield. My father-in-law used to run Lake Logan and it seemed like it took forever to get there, but maybe an hour and a half compared to 45 min to Springfield.
