I don't know if i am aloud to post this web site but due to a rare very hot spell, poor Monty was like a puffy sponge. He puffed his way along and looked very sad, even though it was 10.30 at night.:(
I found a Dutch site that sells cooling collars and mats for dogs who suffer in the heat. I've ordered a collar, because his worth it:rolleyes:

I ordered Dutchie a cooling collar from Jeffers pet supplies but haven't used it yet. Because of my experience with American bulldogs, I was worried to death about Dutchie being in the heat but now that it's here, he is doing great! He wants to be outside all the time and even lays in the sun! Of course I make sure he comes in for water and a cool down when it's real hot. Dutchie is pretty slender and the vet said he has good wide nostrils so that helps. Let us know how Monty likes it!

Pearl also loves it outside in the sun and heat. She always has access to fresh pool of water and I am out with her so I can watch that she isn't in any distress. She doesn't seem to be bothered by the heat at all.

Isn't that a relief? I hope he stays that way even when he's older. Our AB started having problems at around 2 years old. :(

Yes it is. She is such a wonderful and healthy Frenchie and such a momma's girl! I also hope she doesn't become intolerant as she really loves it outside in the sun. She got in her little doggie pool the other day and laid down in it. Seems she didn't want zorro in it at all. Stingy!
