Woohoo! Finally have 7 week old Poppy the poopy parpy peepee puppy joining Spike appicon . She is sooooo tiny, I'm sure Spike was never this small. Poor Spike is a bit miffed and seems to be saying "okay I've had enough - when's she going?" but I think it'll be love very soon...

Thanks for all the lovely comments - as a proud new parent you tend to lose perspective...

The photo doesn't do her cheekiness justice - apart from this photo I have not seen her look so sedate. Spike is settling nicely and I think misses her biting his ankles if we separate them for a rest :)

Lovely, another girly in London!!! Marcel is very impressed and can't wait for her to be big enough to play with the grown-ups!
Congratulations, she's gorgeous...
Next to where i live is another frenchie that i've never seen called Marcel.
Every one knows him and he has met my Monty but i've not had the pleasure.
Could this be the same

That's a very young baby you have there. Did you get her at 7 weeks. Is she from the same breeder as Spike. I have thought of getting another but don't know how it would go. They are both lovely:)

Yes, it is the same Marcel appicon!
Have not been on for a while just opened a coffee bar in Northampton Sq.
How's it going all being a Frenchie mum.

Do you find they all look so different. I keep wondering if there is a correct way they should look?

Aaahh, it's you the lovely cafe, I saw it last week!
Marcel is an easy boy to look after, so I'm lucky.
You're right, yours is a big boy, mine is medium sized (27 lb) and I saw a super sturdy but tiny female the other day!

Yes that's us in the park, i'm still working in the West End, my husband runs it.
I'm at work at the mo and am off home in a min, but it would be great to meet up. As you say every one tells me Monty is big which is worrying but he is not at all fat just muscle but very clean, great with kids, dogs and cats. He is very laid back......speak soon off home

Poppy is quite young - 2 days shy of 2 months when we brought her home. However, I previously had a staffie and an english bulldog come home at 6 weeks which led to major imprinting, but two rather gorgeous doggies.

Spike is a biggish boy too - 13kg - quite tall and apparently with a big head (modest personality tho). He's a ball of muscle with flob mixed in... Same breeder as Pops. I think he's beginning to miss her if he can't see her now (or thinks she's having more fun than him).

I'm up for meeting with the grown-ups and Poppy in her bag first off. J20, is your cafe dog-friendly? I love sitting in cafes with poochies...

Cafe is very dog friendly but park isn't. It has no dog sign up but every one ignores it apart from me:( Spike is the same age as Monty and is very simular in looks. (can not mention breeders) but was he from North London?

Yes, it is the same Marcel appicon!
so weird living so close and never seeing each other. I had English Bull terriers before and i must say Monty is a pleasure and very easy to look after.
My only problem is walking.....he drags all the time and crosses over in front of me left to right:mad: . Also he has this a habbit of rolling around on the floor if he dose not want to move, which is not good with a white dog:eek:

Maybe we could meet in the Cafe and then let them free in Spa Green, or Clerkenwell Green, by the Church?

Did you bring Monty to obedience class? I did, and it helped (he doesn't pull etc)
WE DID PUPPY CLASSES SO HE WOULD INTERACT WITH OTHER DOGS. I COULD NEVER LET HIM OFF HE WOULD RUN AWAY. SO MANY DOGS GETTING STOLEN I COULD NOT RISK IT. IF I TAKE HIM TO ST JAMES CHURCH YARD I LOCK HIM IN THE KIDDIES PLAY GROUND IF NO ONE IS AROUND.

Have uploaded some pics of my spike (from Surrey by the way) to see if he is indeed a big boy. Poppy struggles when he tries to use her as a pillow anyway.

He loves being off lead but tends to go off on his own, though stands just out of sight waiting for us to come get him. I too am paranoid about him being nicked as there seems to have been a bit of that going on around London. I'm happy for a confined runaround in Clerkenwell - love the area, just could never afford it ;)

I'm up for Saturday - any other Londoners able to make it? Would be nice to have a big meet but maybe short notice for some. There's always the Poppy-coming-out meet...

By the way, my english bulldog, Hector, used to zigzag all over the pavement and spend 5 minutes at every lamp post. Then he'd spot a plastic bag being blown along and charge after it, or I'd look away for 3 seconds, turn back and find him sitting in a push chair with a giggling baby. Maybe it's the english coming out in Monty?

You name the time - I have a puppy who likes to wake at 7am and a squirrel in the lightwell who keeps us up all night anyway.

Just say where and when :)

Lovely, shall we say 10 am at the Cafe in Northampton Square, EC1? Then we can walk to a neighbourhood park?
Is Poppy coming in her bag? It's a year since I've cooed at a baby Frenchie...appicon ;)
Saturday morning is the only time i get to do my shopping
Don't know if i will be there at that time, normally still stuck in M&S. If not i will take a stroll down to St James and see if you are still there. Weather dosen't look to good but Monty likes rain.:p

wee

11 it is then, at the cafe :)

poppy says just try and leave me behind, even if it is going to be wet and windy :D

we'll be the ones with a wet frenchie and a camouflage puppy carrier...
