Hello, I did a search on here before posting this thread and found a few who has Pet Insurance on their Frenchies. Do you guys recommend this for your pet or do you guys pay upfront fees for Vet Bills?
Which Pet Insurance Company can you recommend here in the States?
Thanks,
Manny

I can't speak from experience about "regular" pet insurance, but our vet is at Banfield and they have their own insurance plan. You pay a monthly fee and most routine things are covered (vet visits, regular vaccinations, check ups, etc.) and you get a discount on other services. I am very pleased with our vet, she is by far the best one I've taken my animals to and with the insurance plan the cost is much less.

We had pet insurance on our newf for 2 years because he was so prone to accidents of his own dopey doing. But we only had to use it once and then we had to pay a deductible(like a car) Ugh! We quit it and we have been fine.

IMO, pet insurance is a waste. And I speak from the perspective of one who sells insurance for a living.
First the deductible is for each illness/accident.There is a maximun for each illness/accident.Congenital or birth defects are not covered.Pre-existing conditions are not covered .Vaccinations and related conditions are not covered.
If you make major claims the company can cancel your coverage.
Add up the cost of the annual premium, then the cost of an illness and figure out what you get back.. You do NOT come out ahead. Insurance companies stay in business by making money; not giving it away.
