My dog s stool has been very firm since i started him on the raw diet. that was my one concern. when he poops, he poops less as he is kind of pushing to get it all out. i am feeding him the bravo diet with a tblsp of salmon oil. sometimes he only poops a little bit and then othe times a lot comes out. i am wondering if hew is constipated and what i can do to help the little guy. thanks.

Unless he is straining unreasonably, I wouldn't be worried at all about that. It's actually normal ;) The large soft stools dogs have on kibble diets is what is abnormal. Not only that, but large soft stools are very frequently the cause of problems such as anal gland impactions and abcesses...
The natural stools of a dog are small and hard. And it's normal to see that sort of stools when you're feeding a natural diet. That's what keeps the anal glands working correctly too. They should have to strain a little to produce the stool.
If you really do find that your dog is constipated though, then try adding a little canned pumpkin to his food. Two or three good tablespoons will do the trick there ;)
