Hi!
I'm Martina and I now own two frenchie bitch pups - Lola and Gigi. They are both about 3.5mos and, well, it's killin' me! Thank god I don't have children (human children)! The poop, the clean-up, the walking, the potty breaks - wow!
I've had Lola just over a week and (I have no idea how this happened so quickly), but we were pretty much housebroken ... really! In the two days that Gigi's been with us, all of Lola's good habits have flown out the door. Not to mention that the two are now vying for 2nd in command. I can't take them out at the same time for potty breaks and I'm trying to spend 'special' time with each girl alone. I mean, really now, how do people with children and jobs find time to add a puppy to the family?!?
They are, of course, both super-cute and precious. Lola is pied and deaf so I've been teaching her hand signals. Gigi is brindle and still pretty traumatized from her trip (she's from Russia) and I've been keeping the house quiet and trying to get her onto my schedule. Lola is really thin and energetic and couldn't be happier to have a companion. Gigi, on the other hand, is a big 'ole pudge muffin who likes to run around for a bit, but then just wants to lay in the grass and get some lovin'. Needless to say, they are asolutely adorable together.
Oh yeah, and Lola's coming down with something. Could be a summer cold, but it might be allergies. We don't think it's kennel cough and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
It took me a year of research and soul-searching to finally make this commitment. They are exactly what I wanted, but, at the moment, I'm feeling overwhelmed. I've got a way to go before the housebreaking is completed and they've gone through their teething. Until then, I'll just live for those moments when they both crawl up in my lap and cover my face in wet doggie kisses!!
I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me - especially questions! Till then ...
