Hello all!

I'm new to this Board, I'm pretty excited to finally find a good frenchie website....I just posted a few pictures of Boris, my 8 month old french bulldog. He's from Russia, so he had a long, hard trip here but just within the past few months, I really think he has been settling in to his new family. He has two older sisters, one is 8 and one is 2 1/2, they are American Staffordshire Terriers, so needless to say, they are much bigger than little Boris. Nevertheless, he tries to run the show A LOT! He has tons more manners than when he got here, though.
He's about 22 lbs. right now, anybody know until what age Frenchies grow? he still looks kinda small to me...looks much smaller than a lot of the pictures I am seeing, in terms of musculature and head size.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hi Kristen and welcome! If your guy is 22 pounds at 8 months I don't think he will be small by the standard. My Ferris is 1 1/2 yrs old and is around 28 pounds which is a good weight for male Frenchies. We noticed changes in his growth right up until recently. When we first got Ferris his head was very small and my husband thought he was going to be a "pin head" forever. I just laughed and watched as Ferris grew. He has a nice bully head full of wrinkles, broad chest and is beautifully muscled. You will be amazed at how they change between 8 months and 1 1/2 years. Let's see pictures! :)

I just wanted to say how pleased I am to find this board with such nice and helpful folks. After much research and study my husband and I have added a Frenchie to our home. We have one other dog, a 1 1/2 yr. old Skye Terrier. The frenchie is a female and almost 7 months old now so we are beginning to need some bulldog support about now. Thank you again for the great forum.
