The Dog Park...

We took Belzie to a large off leash dog park that is park of a sandy beach. She had a hoot! Here's some pics we took...

She was so very cute with the boxer... she went right up to him as to say "oh oh he's big one"... but that didn't stop her from getting her little tail-less butt going at full speed chasing after him! And he was so good at playing with her too... appicon

CUTE! I find that Boxers and Frenchies make a very good team. We have yet to meet a Boxer that Phoebe didn't get along with, and vice versa!

Isn't funny how our little Frenchies always choose the "big guys" to befriend? In puppy class, Louis' best friend is a huge boxer mix puppy who was horrifically abused -- his ears were savagely cut off :mad: -- before he was thankfully rescued (http://www.ksdk.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=91102)

Louis spends most of the class in this dog's mouth being "gummed" and could not be happier. :rolleyes: He has no fear when it comes to big dogs -- and shows little interest in similarly sized dogs :lol: He loves to run with the big dogs!

I was watching the "Dog Whisperer" the other day -- I'm always on the lookout for the Frenchie when Cesar goes back to the "dog psychology center" and the pack. He had brought in an Akita mix that was rescued after Katrina. A lot of the dogs hung back, but I was not surprised at all when the little Frenchie trotted up to investigate. :lol:

How horrible - I can't belive someone would do that to a beautiful boxer!

When I was walking Belzie yesturday there was a lab and her owner playing fetch in the fenced ball dimond at the park. After talking to the other owner to make sure his lab was not too agressive I brought her in and let her go. She loved chasing another big dog. There was no way she could keep up, but had so much fun chasing. The other owner was surprised and amazed at how she could hold her own with his big dog.

Belzie's best friend from her puppy class is an English Mastif named Lola. It is amazing to watch them play! Lola will actually lie down so that the small dogs can play with her.
