Hi :D
I just wanted to say hi and share with everyone what we did this weekend :)
I took Manja (who's about 4 and 1/2 months now) camping at a folk festival in the country with a group of friends who also have dogs and Manja had a blast! I was a bit worried at first about whether he would be able to handle it or not but again I underestimated him. It was dog heaven really in this little village. Every place was dog friendly. There were dogs in the pubs and in the cafes and all over the campsite! He joined a little 'gang' (a staffy, a pit bull and a poodle X) and they were weaving in and out of the tents at the campsite. He was soooo good though and never strayed too far from me. At night I devised a little harness to which I tied a little battery operated bicycle light so that I could always see where he was in the dark which was such a great help. I got many comments from other dog owners too saying what a good idea it was and that they too would do it next time (especially when your dog is dark in colour).
Manja also had his first water experience, going down the Hawksbury river in a little tin boat. Although he looked a bit confused when I jumped into the water for a swim. I don't think he quite knew what I was doing
And to top it off at one of the little market stalls there was a table full of junk and bric a brac and in the middle of it all lay a book on french bulldogs! It's written by Anna Katherine Nicholas and I got it for $2 ! Bargain appicon
Bye for now
