Just wanted to let everyone know that Bugsy has aspiration pneumonia! He woke up sick yesterday. I took him to the vet and they took some x-rays. Looks like he has some other problems also. I am waiting for the radiologist report. Because of his hiatel hernia he has acid reflux. When he urps this stuff up he runs the chance of inhaling it and that is what causes Aspiration pneumonia!
Yesterday when he woke up he was heaving like he was going to throw up. I let him into the back yard and he was heaving so hard that he did a complete rollover and has just laying there on his side. My son and I ran to him. The mucus he was throwing up was so thick and it came out his nose and mouth and he could not breathe! Scared us to death!!!
We wiped his mouth and nostrils out and stood him up and gave him a shake. He started breathing again. Poor little guy! The x-rays showed that his esophogus does not look too good and they also discovered a problem with a disc in his back! The vet said that if the disc worsened it could paralyze him. BUT we will not know anything for sure until the radiologist report comes back.
Bugsy is home and feeling better today. He is still pretty quiet though! Please send good thoughts his way! He really needs all the good vibes he can get!

P.S. Hug and love on all your Frenchie's today cause life is just too precious!

Sandi:
You know that you have my good thoughts for Bugsy. I hope that he is doing well with all his problems. As I am typing this I am listening to Madison's bully snores & going back to the times we heard so many negative things about his health. I want you to know that the issues that Bugsy faces are very real & serious, but we were told that Madison's esophaagus problem gave him a guarded prognosis & he is doing well 2 1/2 years later. If you would like to eamil me privately with any questions about things I do for Madison my email address is wolverine191@juno.com
Best wishes for Bugs & your family

Sandi...I hold good thoughts for your little guy. I can just imagine how terrified you must have been watching him struggle. I hope we hear optomistic news from you soon. Big hugs and kisses to him. Talk to Pattie (if you have not already done so). She has been through so much with Madison. Carolyn
