My frenchie is a lamb sensitive :( His poop is soft, gases... Well, he did not feel good eating lamb...

What about your dog?

Yes and no. Henri can eat lamb without any issue as long as it isn't too fatty. I don't ever give him ground lamb. Not because there's a problem with it being ground, per se, but because I'm not grinding it myself and the ground lamb mixes that are usually available (whether intended for dogs or not, but especially those that are) are usually made from the fatty parts.

So when I give him lamb, I make sure it's lean parts. Shanks (forelegs) are good. We never have a problem with those. But just as I ensure he doesn't get too much chicken skin for too many meals in a row (same problem, it's very fatty), I can't feed too many lamb meals in a row as the fat tends to give him a slightly upset tummy and lots of gas. As long as it's occassional, we have no problems with lamb.

Dari started off with lamb; got fat from it..then she decided she did not like it..
So it is not part of her diet anymore..I keep her on a low fat diet..Venison, chicken and turkey..The only higher fat protien is duck..And of course the organ meats..

Abby did very well on lamb for over 2 years and no gas. It was cooked....don't know if that made a difference with the gas. She finally turned her nose up which was ok by me...I was getting tired of cooking it. I switched her from cooked lamb to Merrick canned and dry...mostly chicken, duck or turkey. Doing well on that....

Butters loved lamb for about 2 months but he started to get reflux and then one day he decided never to eat lamb again. We thought he had a stomach virus but as it turned out when we gave him rabbit or turkey (Bravo) he gobbled it down again. Now he no longer has reflux. I've heard from other dog owners who fed lamb that this has happened to them too. Guess they just know what's good for them!
