Frenchie Walks

Hi Everyone - I just had to write and tell you that we went to our first Frenchie walk yesterday. In our area we have a breeder close by that organizes Frenchie walks the first Sunday of every month (Spring - Fall). They are held at a different park each month. Yesterday was soooo fun. There were 51 Frenchie's there and their families!!! Last year they took a group photo and made a jig-saw puzzle out of the photo. They sold 125 puzzles and the money all went to a local Frenchie rescue!!! This year they took a group photo and are coming up with a new fundraiser! Can't wait to find out what it will be. Bugsy had a great time!! It made me realize what a little thing he is compared to all those other male Frenchie's. I love that though cause he looks like a puppy all the time!!! He was also very well behaved. A few times he got overwhelmed and crawled up in my lap. I think he was more interested in the people than the other dogs!!!

That sounds like so much fun :p It must have been surreal being surrounded by so many frenchies (51!)
Near where I live in Sydney a french bulldog picnic is going to be held in June and I can't wait. It will be interesting to see the diverse range of people who decided a frenchie was the dog for them :lol:

Sandi...is this event the one that I see on Tahoma French bulldog site? This event seems to be famous in your state! Wish we had Frenchie events here in So. Calif but I am not aware of anything going on here.

Kelly: I am proudly 1/2 Australian :p and my mother is flying out this month to visit her brother in Melbourne for a month! I'll be instructing her to look out for any Aussie Frenchies! :lol:

Hi Sandi,

I almost made it to that walk, but was informed too late...I live in Vancouver BC, and Seattle is very accessible to me...it would be really cool to meet up with fellow board members! Does that mean the next one is on May 1st? I will also keep you posted if I hear about anything up here...

There is a Frencie day in the park in London, Ontario in July. I think we will try to go to this event. I have never been to any event that was just Frenchies & think it would be great fun.

Carolyn - Yes that is the one! Dale the owner of Tahoma Frenchie's just started this last year. This year there are over 90 Frenchie owners on his list. Not everyone can make it to each walk but they make it to some so you get a variety of people!

Brooke and Morgan - Yes the next one is on May 2nd. I think it is going to be at Greenlake. Unfortunately we will not be able to make that one. we will be going to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Wenatchee that weekend! We will probably go to most of the others though. So, let me know if you plan on going and we can meet each other!!!
