I take Dutchie in the bathroom with me in the morning while I'm getting ready for work. I bring a toy in, but he seems more interested in getting into the trash can evilicon Any suggestions on keeping him entertained?

Isaac's favorite is unrolling all the toilet paperevilicon !!! If that's not to your liking, how about his favorite toy, a Kong stuffed with goodies or a cat (Isaac's second favorite:lol: ) I also play peek a boo with him while I'm showering-mostly to make sure he's not doing bad things!!;)

Both of mine follow me into the bathroom EVERY time I go in there. They just stand there and stare at me. I think they're assessing the situation..."is she getting ready to leave?"
Dutchie probably hasn't had the opportunity to explore/ sniff every last inch of the bathroom yet which is so much more interesting than any toy!:)

Belzie's always busting in too. She's too short to jump into the tub, but I think a rolly ball toy or stuffed Kong bouncing around in the tub would be a hoot!

Yes miss heather! We don't have a tub, just a ceramic tile shower which is an extension of the floor (with a little step up). Sometimes he will willingly jump on in, but not so much anymore since sometimes I grab the doggy shampoo and suds him up, too! :p I just don't want him to get bored every day. Can I buy a "kong" at Walmart or just at a petstore? Do they say "kong" on them? :o

bulldoggin...You should be able to find a kong almost anywhere that sells pet supplies. I believe they are labeled "kong".

When I have my bath Phoebe just curls up on the bath mat next to the bath and snoozes until I get out!

They crack me these dogs. We have a garden tub, and when either one of us is in there, he cries and begs until we pick him up and put him on the outer ledge of the tub. After we pick him up, he just paces and walks up and down until we are done. None of my dogs ever did this. I never expected a little doggie to have so much personality. I love him so much!:p

I thought Dutchie may be unique in the amount of attention he demands, but I guess it's a Frenchie thing! It's not so much the shower time, but when I come out and put on lotion, clothes, makeup, mousse, ect. that he becomes impatient. But he can't wander around since he's not fully potty trained. I will look for a kong this weekend.

bulldoggin30 you could always borrow a 3year old boy who has endless amounts of energy who won't leave the poor dog alone and you have to constantly yell at to ' get out of his face' and 'leave him alone he's trying to sleep' .
I usually find that after a quick romp with my son Tully will be out for at least an hour:lol:

Ha ha! That is true! My daughter is a great help with Dutchie, but in the morning, she's too busy fixing her hair, make-up, ect to keep a good eye on him. That's why I keep him with me. I did buy a kong at the doggy daycare tonight!
