hello every one
I just wanted to ask what a frenchie should be eating at 3 1/2 to 4 months. Im still feeding Manja a puppy kibble mixed with something else (either tuna, raw meat, a canned dog food) 3 times a day. Problem is he seems to go to the toilet an awful lot. He does "number 2" about 3 times a day which I think is normal but at the moment it's not very solid. As for urinating, he is a pee machine  About once an hour (and sometimes a tiny puddle in between) and it's impossible for me to tell when he's about to go because he always looks like he's about to go  Do you think this is because he is a male and he 'saves' his urine so he doesn't go all at once ?
Or perhaps it's what I'm feeding him. What has everyone else experienced?

we did not get biggie till about 4months and when we got him he was going about every hour or so as far as i can remember...maybe it was a bit more time in between but it did not feel like it!! anyhow, one thing that helped us was to not give any water after about 8:00 or so (depending on your schedule etc)..do NOT deprive puppy of water just limit the supply at night time...as for food, biggie was never on puppy food so i am not too sure but when he was 4months he was on nutro high protein..we switched him over to innova soon after bout 6months i would guess (trying a better food to reduce tear stains) and he hated it, since then he has been on Canidea..hmmmm not very solid??? should be pretty solid to the best of my knowledge...maybe 3x's a day is too much??? we have ever only fed biggie 2x's a day..but i imagine it depends on how much you are feeding during those 3x's...also, are you consistant with the tuna, raw meat or canned food??? maybe you should choose 1 for now and see if the stool is less loose...often dogs will have sensitive stomachs and is difficult for them to have such variety...also depending on what kind of meat...usually this can be pretty fatty (we give it to biggie too) so you may want to keep the quantity down or the fat% lean...and that might help the stool too.
when he does go (tiny puddles you mentioned) do you take him out immediately after?
when he goes outside do you praise him like he is the best little boy in the entire world and no one could have possibly done what he just did as well as he did it? this helped us a ton, although my neighbors still look at me kind of funny:-)
keep us updated:-)

Did putting Biggie on different food help his tear stains?
