Usually, I will give my animals a taste (within reason ) of whatever I am eating..Over the years there have been some real surprises..
My Mackscat LOVED spagetti, Misha screamed for Broccoli...And Butch had a taste of my Oatmeal every day..Plus some bagel, jelly, cookies..Who said cats are picky eaters...
Anyway..Dari gets to taste as well..

The other day, I openned a box of Graham crackers..And I gave her a taste..OMG.You would think I had given her the most wonderful treat that was ever created for a dog..She sat in front of me,drool bubbles forming. The floor in front of her was soaked..Her eyes followed every bite that I took..Until I gave her another piece..

Graham crackers...Plain ,ordinary things...If she loves these,,then what do her dog biscuits taste like?

Last night she was asleep. I openned the box..Barely got one out.Dari was at my feet.. From a deep sleep...
What magic is there in these ? If I had only known about them when I was training her.....

Are any of your dogs similarly addicted?

I'm not too sure what Graham crackers are, but I can sure relate to your story of Dari waking up from a deep sleep when you crack open a packet or a tin in the kitchen  . That is too cute!

I had 2 Cornish Rex cats, and my little male used to go crazy when I fed him asparagus, and he would also like to share a lollipop with me!

Oh Fran that is too funny.
Mia has an addiction too... It's CHEESE !
I keep it in a drawer in my fridge . Soon as she hears the drawer open it is all over. She comes barreling across the kitchen.
I too am guilty of letting her try everything I eat ...... unfortunatley she likes it all. My girl loves to eat

It must be a Frenchie thing:D ! Isaac is the same way-he'll eat ANYTHING I am! I have never met a dog that loves fruit, veggies, etc. the way he does-he'll beg for them! Anything "people" is fine with him, forget the dog food. I try to add some "goodie" to his breakfast every morning so he can enjoy it more. It's really funny to me to see a little dog sitting there munching on a piece of banana!

I have bills to pay, laundry to do...and I'm sitting here googling graham crackers! Thanks for the laugh, Fran! My two also like graham crackers, especially the graham cracker sticks. :)

I will often share a taste of what I'm eating with Allie & Baxter. I try to sneak it in when my husband's not
looking. ;) The other night I was eating fettuccini carbonara and snuck them each a piece of fettuccini. I got busted when my hubby looked over and noticed Allie with white sauce stuck to her upper lip. She looked like she was posing for a "got milk?" commercial!

Piper can be dead asleep somewhere in the house but as soon as you slide the snack draw in the fridge open and remove a string cheese...... She has just about knocked me off my feet a few times sliding across the throw rug in the kitchen to make sure she gets her piece!

And broccoli! OMG she loooooves broccoli! She'll steal the bunches out of the grocery bags when I get home from food shopping! I have to know exactly what bag they are in otherwise she'll eat the whole bunch!

Oh, dose "wascally wabbit" eared dogs! These stories are too, too funny  Right now my three are stuck on the deer jerky a cousin of mine made (which is great 'cause that's what I'm using to help re-train Tigger for 'come.') They could be a hundred feet from me and I shake the jerky bag - and zoom, bang, to my feet!

Almost more funny to me is when I feed them something they don't like ... Gigi just sniffs and walks away. Lola accepts it, takes it away, puts it down and smells it, and then decides that it's not suitable for her sensitive palatte. Tigger, however, always accepts any proffered treat and immediately starts chewing ... then you see his surprised look of horror when he realizes that it tastes AWFUL. Spits it out and, of course, immediately picks it back up (Look! A treat!) - and the whole chewing, horrification, spit out, pick up, etc etc starts all over again. Last night I gave them a garlic stuffed olive - and at least I had a good laugh

I'm going to have to try Graham Crackers! How funny! Raider is way to food motivated. He figured that out at puppy classes. Now I can't get him to do hardly anything without at least acting like I have a treat. Praise and "good boy"s and such only go so far... I too am guilty of giving a taste. But when he is beggin I don't. I wait for him to "ignore" me and then ask him if he wants a bite. He comes a runnin and sits before I can even say it... I have yet to find something that he doesn't like. Course he never gets anything with hot sauce on it, so who knows if he likes mexican... My Dad is the guilty party! He started the whole thing of tasting at the dinner table on sundays.

Oh, if you want to get crazy, give em a taste of Pepsi... Raider gets so silly whenever I open a can... No manners what-so-ever! He goes straight for the can!

I love graham crackers...always forget to buy them but I suspect Abby would love them, as she has a real sweet tooth. Abby and Ferris love Wheat Thins....especially if we put some kind of dip on them....onion, salmon, or spinach are their favorites!
