hey guys. oscar, me, and my fiance are living in san francisco now and loving it. although, i am having a bit of a hard time finding nature's variety raw food. bravo is not here either. one pet store carries nature's variety but, only has freeze dried. they are advocates of freeze dried food because they say that there have been lots of reports of tons of bacteria in the raw frozen. does anyone know about this? they say i should feed oscar the freeze dried stuff. does anyone do this? does anyone know the potential pros and cons? i am doing research myself but, it thought some of you may know about this. thanks!!!!

Sharon,
There is a company called Grandad's that is available where you are... I understand it is very good..You can google it and find the distributors .It is made locally and from what I have been told, it is reasonable in cost..

Sounds like the foodstore is pushing what they have...None of us has had any problems with raw......

i am not really sure. i didn't talk to them for too long. they were pretty aggressive about not feeding frozen raw and were really pushing the nature's variety freeze dried. oh well. i did find one place that has it. yeah! thanks fran for the grandads recommendation. i will check it out.

twist n shout. yes, i am so outta philly. i did NOT like it. so, i finally convinced my fiance to move to san fran. yeah!!!! thanks for your help guys. i am going to post another thread about oscar's weight. if you guys have any advice on that post, i would appreciate it. thanks!
