I was wondering about ear curl during teething? Bugs ears have been curling at the tips. His breeder said that is ear curl and it will go away once he gets his permanant teeth in. Has anyone gone through this with their Frenchie? I had another breeder tell me the same thing.

Hi Sandi! I have read so many posts regarding concerns about Frenchie ears! Don't worry...their ears may tip both frontwards and backwards until the time is right and then they will go straight up! Take lots of pictures while they go this way and that because once they go up...they will be up for good! :D

Never seen that happen. Tirsa's ears have been up since they got up at a couple of weeks.

Hi guys - I just wanted to report that Bugsy's ears are up!!! How funny! They were up when we got him at 4 months old then were curling a few weeks later as he was losing teeth left and right. Now he has all his permanant at 6 months old and his ears have been straight up for 4 days! Yeah!!! I love those ears!!!

Sandi...glad to hear the ears went up!!! appicon Many first time Frenchie owners go through this anxiety....worrying that their Frenchie may not have the bat ears that they are famous for. Big kisses to Bugs! :p

That is funny Abby had only one ear up when we got her then about a month later it was up but curled at the tip now they are both up and NEVER go down. It is so cute !

I'm glad I came across this thread! I had been warned that Frenchie ears droop during teething, but Adora's were so perky I thought "no way" it would happen to her! Well...what do ya know? She's in a major teething stage and they are starting to go crazy :p

I feel much better knowing that it is so common!
