Pimples

hi, has anyone had a French bulldog with pimples developing, especially on its chest area? Just plain red coloured ones?

Not a frenchie. But puppy acne is fairly common ;) Things you can do to help are to use stainless steel or ceramic food and water bowls - never plastic (this is for dogs with acne around the facial area) and to wash them frequently in the dishwasher. High quality food is also helpful.

If necessary, you can wash the infected areas lightly with a weak hydrogen peroxide solution. Most dogs will outgrow juvenile acne in time though. Here's a short veterinary article on it that you might find helpful: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&articleid=878

We just got back from a vet visit, and what I thought were little warts on Lola's chin are actually just pimples, according to the vet.
